Trauma-informed yoga is a gentle, inclusive approach to movement that recognizes every person carries life experiences that shape how they feel in their body. Rather than focusing on perfect poses or flexibility, this practice emphasizes safety, choice, curiosity, and self-awareness. You are always encouraged to listen to your body, honor your limits, and move in ways that feel supportive to you.

While trauma-informed yoga is especially beneficial for those who have experienced trauma, it is truly for everyone. Whether you're navigating stress, anxiety, chronic pain, caregiving, grief, burnout, or simply seeking greater balance, these practices help regulate the nervous system, improve resilience, and foster a deeper connection between mind and body.

Every class at Just Breathe with Means is thoughtfully designed to support the whole person. Along with yoga, you may experience a variety of somatic practices such as breathwork, mindfulness, guided relaxation, meditation, EFT (tapping), gentle self-massage, grounding techniques, vagus nerve stimulation, restorative movement, and sound healing with crystal singing bowls. These evidence-informed practices help calm the nervous system, reduce stress, and build the skills to move through life's challenges with greater ease.

No previous yoga experience is needed—only a willingness to show up exactly as you are. Every body is welcome, every journey is honored, and every class offers an opportunity to simply breathe, reconnect, and heal.
